Horimono is a word used to describe irezumi (Japanese Tattooing) or to describe the carving of images into a sword blade.

My friend told me that japanese tattoos done by hand(tebori) last longer and look better than those done by a tattoo machine. is that true? also, does anyone know of artists in U.S.A. that do good japanese tattoos?
